David Peden is the Lead Pastor and founder of We Are Church, a growing, city-based church with a heart to see people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and walk in their God-given purpose. Once caught in a lifestyle of addiction, sin, and incarceration, David experienced the life-changing power of the gospel — and now lives to share that hope with others.

Today, David is devoted to reaching those far from God and equipping the Church to be the hands and feet of Jesus. He is also the founder of We Are Recovery, a ministry that serves as one of many expressions of the church’s mission to restore lives through Christ. David is married to his beautiful wife, Lauren, and together they are raising five incredible children. His story is a testament to the transforming grace of God and the calling placed on every believer to rise, lead, and serve.
